Membership and Administration

• The commission will consist of 14 members from various appointments:

  • Two members appointed by the governor.
  • Two non-elected members appointed by the speaker of the house.
  • Two non-elected members appointed by the minority leader of the house.
  • Two non-elected members appointed by the majority leader in the senate.
  • Two non-elected members appointed by the minority leader in the senate.
  • One elected official from each legislative caucus in each house.

• The chair of the commission will be elected from among its members, and the commission will keep a permanent record of its meetings.

• The legislative coordinating commission will provide necessary staff support, meeting space, and equipment.

Significant Changes to Existing Law
