This bill (S.F. No. 2420) proposes an amendment to Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 72A.20, by adding a new subdivision (Subd. 42) that requires insurers to provide a copy of the current policy to the first named insured upon request. The insurer must deliver the policy within 21 days of receiving the request. The policy copy can be provided in paper form, electronically, or via a website link. However, an insurer is only required to fulfill such a request once per policy period.
