This bill, S.F. No. 2254, proposes a one-time appropriation of $4,500,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The funds will be used as a grant to the YMCA of the North for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a Child and Family Wellbeing Center of Excellence in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. The appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
