This bill (S.F. No. 2166) proposes an appropriation of $2,500,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The funds would be granted to Wilsons Image Holding LLC for the renovation of an existing commercial building in North Minneapolis. The renovated space, called Swank Eatery, will serve as a food hall featuring a brewery, taproom, restaurants, and dining space on West Broadway. The funds will cover design, construction, furnishing, and equipping the space, as well as demolition, environmental cleanup, and other necessary improvements. The appropriation will remain available until the project is completed or abandoned.
