This bill (S.F. No. 1987) amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 480.243, by adding a requirement that the State Board of Civil Legal Aid submit a report to the legislature. The report must be provided to the chairs and ranking minority members of legislative committees overseeing the judiciary and must include data on cases, individuals, and families served by grant recipients using funds from section 480.242. The data should be organized by each legal service provider and, when possible, by geographic region while ensuring privacy protection. The report is to be submitted every two years by January 15 of odd-numbered years.
