This bill appropriates $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 from Minnesota's workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development. The funds will be used as a grant for Summit Academy OIC to expand student enrollment, employment placement, and program access in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota. The grant will also support GED preparation, STEM programming, and the creation of a dental assistant program, including student enrollment and collaboration with employers for job placement after program completion.
