This bill proposes to allocate $200,000 in 2026 for the purpose of replacing the statue of Henry Mower Rice, currently in the Statuary Hall of the U.S. Capitol, with a new statue of Hubert H. Humphrey. The funds will cover the costs associated with removing and transporting the existing statue to the Minnesota State Historical Society, recasting the current Hubert H. Humphrey statue at the Minnesota State Capitol, and erecting the new statue in the Statutory Hall. The funding for this project is a one-time allocation and must be used by the completion or discontinuation of the project.
