This bill (H.F. No. 2247) appropriates $7,000,000 from Minnesota’s general fund for fiscal year 2026 to the state's Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development. The funds will be used to provide a grant to Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina (COPAL) for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a Latino Center for Community Engagement (LCCE). The LCCE will serve as a facility for COPAL and its partner organizations, providing working spaces and acting as a training center to support workforce development and employment. The appropriation remains available until the project is completed or abandoned, in accordance with Minnesota law. This funding is a one-time appropriation.
