This bill proposes appropriating funds to Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio (CLUES) to address employment, economic, and technology access disparities for low-income, unemployed, or underemployed individuals. The bill allocates $2 million for fiscal year 2026 and $2 million for fiscal year 2027 from Minnesota’s general fund to the state's Department of Employment and Economic Development for this purpose. These funds will support short-term certifications, workforce readiness programs, financial capability training, and employment support in high-demand fields. Additionally, at least 50% of the funds must be directed to programming in greater Minnesota. The appropriations are one-time allocations.
