This bill establishes a Plant-Based Foods Production Training Pilot Program under the Minnesota Department of Higher Education. The program will provide grants to secondary career and technical education programs and institutions of higher education to support instruction in plant-based food production. Priority will be given to institutions that coordinate with local plant-based food producers.

Grant funds may be used for:
1. Purchasing equipment for plant-based food production.
2. Renovating facilities to accommodate plant-based food production.
3. Training faculty to teach plant-based food production skills.

The bill appropriates $500,000 for fiscal year 2026 from Minnesota's general fund for this program. The funding is one-time and will be available until June 30, 2027.
