This bill, H.F. No. 2106, proposes an appropriation of $1,000,000 from Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage fund for the rehabilitation of historic sites in Thief River Falls during fiscal year 2026. Specifically:

• $750,000 is allocated for HVAC work, roof repairs (including facia and gutter replacement), and installing energy-efficient windows and doors at the historic Soo Line Depot.
  
• $250,000 is allocated for roof repairs, HVAC system replacement, and energy-efficient window installation at the historic Carnegie Library.
  

Both buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places and are city-owned. All work must comply with the United States Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

This funding is a one-time appropriation and remains available until the projects are completed.
