This bill proposes a capital investment appropriation of $10,500,000 from state bond proceeds to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of East Bethel, Minnesota. The funds will be used to design, construct, and equip city water and sewer infrastructure, specifically to connect East Bethel Elementary School and Cedar Creek Elementary School to the city’s water and sewer systems. The project includes building:

• A new water tower
  
• A new water treatment facility
  
• New wells
  
• Other necessary associated infrastructure

To fund this project, the Commissioner of Management and Budget is authorized to issue and sell state bonds in the amount of $10,500,000, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes (Sections 16A.631 to 16A.675) and the Minnesota Constitution (Article XI, Sections 4 to 7).
