This bill proposes an appropriation of $11,500,000 from state bond proceeds to fund the expansion of the existing fire hall in New Prague, Minnesota. The expansion would create a centralized public safety center to provide fire, police, and ambulance services for the city and surrounding communities. The bill also requires that at least $11,500,000 in nonstate funding be committed before the state funds are available. To finance this appropriation, the commissioner of management and budget is authorized to issue and sell state bonds in the same amount in accordance with state laws and constitutional provisions.
