This Minnesota House bill (H.F. No. 1720) seeks to regulate prepayments for certain dental services. It amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 150A.11, by adding a new subdivision. The bill prohibits dentists or dental practices from requiring patients to prepay any portion of the amount owed for dental services that are part of a treatment plan scheduled to take more than 90 days to complete. Additionally, once treatment begins, dentists must allow patients to make payments in at least two installments, spaced at least 30 days apart.
