This bill requires informed consent from a patient or their legally authorized representative before performing sensitive examinations (pelvic, breast, urogenital, or rectal) on an anesthetized or unconscious patient. Exceptions include situations where the examination is necessary for treatment, is within the scope of an already-consented procedure, is required due to the patient's incapacitation, or has been court-ordered for evidence collection. Violators are subject to a gross misdemeanor charge and disciplinary action by their licensing board.
