This bill proposes an appropriation of $2,250,000 from Minnesota’s general fund in fiscal year 2026 for a grant to the Neighborhood Development Center (NDC). The funding aims to support small business programs, including training, lending, business services, and real estate initiatives. Additionally, the funds may be used to assist organizations outside the seven-county metropolitan area by providing technical assistance and grants to help implement elements of NDC’s small business support model. The appropriation will also fund one-on-one technical assistance for entrepreneurs and support the operations and marketing of a cybersecurity center. This is a one-time appropriation, and any unspent balance at the end of the first year will remain available for use in the second year.
